Quoted from Rear Cover: Sinners and innocents, doubters and believers -- they came to find inner peace and spiritual fulfillment ...
Quoted from the first end-page:
The Seekers
Mary Lanska, the lovely, voluptuous girl who bore a secret shame ...
Clive Summers, the self-made tycoon, betrayed by the one man he trusted ...
Ami Logan, who had scrubbed on her hands and knees to raise the ungrateful children who now scorned her ...
Gideon Cowles, educated and sensitive, a Negro who could get work only in a white man's kitchen ...
United only by the bond of human suffering, they came to seek comfort and inner peace in the tranquil sanctuary of The Listener.
